This design can be worn either as a brooch or as a pendant depending on your mood and outfit.  The metals are brass and sterling silver,  with a hand sawed sterling silver castellated bezel surrounded the opal stone.  There is a tube set 3mm facted peridot stone on the front that picks up some of the lime green flash in the opal stone.  The back also has a tube set 3 mm faceted peridot stone that locks the pin in place.  The hand fabricated chain is 19" in length. The piece is just over 2 inches high x 1 and one eighth inces wide.   This is my first brooch/pendant combo.
