I normally don't work with glass cabochons. When I saw this hand made lampwork glass heart I immediately knew the setting I wanted to make for it.  The cabochon reminds me of a broken heart and that's where the idea of tears flowing began.  I've used various forms of sterling silver metal such as sheet, bezel, wires.  There is a mini heart cut on the back plate. The bezel and backplate have been hand stamped with the phrase "A million tears flood your soul."
 
The glass heart is 20.65mm long x 20.10mm wide. With the sterling silver setting the heart measures 32.28mm high x 24.10mm wide. The overall size of the pendant from the top of the circle bail to the bottom of the quartz teardrop is 56.655mm in length. It comes on a sterling silver 18 inch curb chain made in Italy that weighs 13.2 grams.
