This kiwi green crossbody purse is made with Riviera matte calfskin leather from France. I went totally outside my comfort zone with the color choice for this mini purse. I usually stick to blacks or neutral palettes. But the bright kiwi green caught my eye. This is the first time I have worked with this particular leather and it wasn't what I was expecting. It is a very stiff leather that doesn't have any give to it making the bag very structured. There is absolutely nothing wrong with that, but it is not my aesthetic. I feel it restricts the amount of items you can "stuff" in your bag which may be a positive thing for some people! It is a vegetable tanned leather with a waterproof finish that protects it from exposure to the elements. A unique trait of this leather is its durability and scratch resistance making it a great choice for bags and leather goods needing unmatched durability for everyday wear and tear. The bag is 8" wide x 6.75" high x 1.75" deep. The hardware is antique brass. It has a 3/4' wide black leather strap that adjusts from 22" to 42" in length with 360 degree swivel hooks. Antique brass snap closure. No inside pocket. The color of the leather is Kiwi shown in the last photo above.
